Dunsmuir (population 2,000) is situated in the beautiful Sacramento River Canyon just off Interstate 5 in southern Siskiyou County. The new City Manager will have the opportunity to lead the City through an exciting effort in building for the future. The City Manager will direct a strong effort to accomplish the implementation of revitalization of the historic district and guide economic development efforts. Strong, decisive, creative, and friendly leadership skills are key requirements. The successful candidate must possess the equivalent of extensive progressively responsible managerial or administrative experience with a municipal or other public agency, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, political science or related field.
